Spicules have become a great alternative to traditional chemical peels. Spicule treatments do not change the pH of the skin, and no protein denaturation occurs. Instead, spicules are delivered into the skin via massage. When spicules are absorbed by the skin, they release a multitude of minerals and vitamins; replenishing the skin.

Spicules are extracted from the Hydrolyzed Sea Sponge exoskeleton and serve as natural micro-needles. Spicules also increase blood flow having an oxygenating effect,

and stimulate collagen production.

The Green Sea Peel contains a spongilla powder and activator made with naturally sourced ingredients. Formulated with Durvillaea Antarctica Extract,

Hydrolyzed Sea Sponge, and Algae Extract to resurface the skin, improve hyperpigmentation, and stimulate collagen production. This peel does not contain AHA or BHA's and is a great alternative to chemical peels. Durvillaea Antarctica

Extract is rich in amino acids, flavonoids, minerals, and fatty acids.

Sea sponges also contain enzymes which inhibit the

growth of microbes like fungus and bacteria. Algae Extract contain cellulose within their cell wall, which retains water to provide hydration to the skin. Algae is also a rich source of B-Carotene, an antioxidant which improves skin immunity and strengthens the skin's barrier.

This high-performance Korean treatment is taking over the skin care industry!
The Storyderm Princess Peel is a no downtime spicule used to treat a variety of skin conditions such as aging, acne, acne scarring, and pigmentation. Spicules are a great alternative to the traditional chemical peel because they can be used on those with sensitive skin without the risk of burning the skin, and on all skin tones without the risk of creating hyper or hypo-pigmentation.

What sets the Princess Peel spicule treatment apart?

The spicules are encased in colloidal gold which are beneficial for wound healing by delivering both oxygen and nutrients to the skin cells and activating the cellular renewal mechanism which helps heal and reduce aging in the skin. It is a potent anti-inflammatory that stimulates blood circulation and is rich in minerals and antioxidants therefore neutralizing free radicals.
Storyderm spicules are ethically sourced needle-like structures composed of the exoskeleton of hydrolyzed freshwater sponges. These minute spicules work by piercing and embedding into the skin aiding in the delivery of active ingredients much like microneedling, only without the needles. They attack damaged skin cells and stimulate a regeneration response deep within the dermis.

Benefits of consistent spicule treatments:

  • Strengthens the skin's barrier

  • Improves the health of sensitive skin

  • Anti-aging

  • Minimizes open and enlarged pores

  • Improves skin elasticity and wrinkles

  • Improves acne and acne scarring

  • Brightens dull, congested, and/or photo-damaged skin

What to expect:

Spicules feel like they sound – spike-like – and the sensation can last from 24-48 hours when the skin is touched. You can expect a slight flushing and the possibility of a micro-shed depending on the pressure to the skin during treatment.
